Generally speaking it’s fair to say that the first three months of the year are by far the quietest in the retail sector.
It gives us a chance to recharge our batteries after the busy Christmas period, and to plan the year ahead.
Although my core range is still as popular as ever I do try to come up with a collection of new designs and this is the ideal time of year to do it. I also tend to use January and February to update my website (not my favourite job!) and re-order my stationary and packaging. There is nothing worse than running our of business cards or gift boxes!
A good Spring Clean is also essential too. My workshop definitely benefits from a real tidy up and I am always amazed at how much easier it is to find things afterwards, and how much more productive I can be!
